UDC ServSafe Food Protection Manager Course (May 2026)
This course is designed to teach participants food safety for commercial use, in preparation for the national certification exam.
The Food Protection Manager certification is more widely recognized in federal, state, and local jurisdictions than any other food safety certification. The UDC ServSafe 3-Day course series will help food service managers enforce critical food safety practices in establishments, with every meal served. The UDC ServSafe Food Protection Manager course ensures that you:
- Protect the public's health and safety in your food service establishment.
- Understand current food safety policies and procedures.
- Implement effective employee training programs.
- Keep your operation in compliance with all applicable public health regulations.
Food Protection Manager certifications must be renewed every five (5) years.
Free to register. The course fee to attend is $147.00. This fee is payable by money order to the "University of the District of Columbia," and includes direct instruction, ServSafe book, and the proctored examination.

- At the Cashier’s Office in advance: Building 39, 2nd floor, Room 201, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please take the payment form provided by the instructor with you. Add the Course Name and Detail Code: P069 to the form.
Payments must be received on or by the first day of the training.
3 Day Course Series: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Instruction is in-person at the UDC Community College/Lamond-Riggs campus.

Monday, May 11, 2026, 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 13, 2026, 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Friday, May 15, 2026, 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Credential Earned: National certification will be awarded upon scoring 70% or higher on the certification examination.
