The HSOC Summer Cybersecurity Experience Workshop is built for people who are tired of lectures and ready to get hands-on inside real systems.

You won’t just “learn about cybersecurity.”
You will DO cybersecurity.

Who This Is For

• Beginners ready to jump in and do the work

Over 4 Saturdays, you will build and apply a Defense-in-Depth cybersecurity strategy across your own lab environment:

• Build a layered cybersecurity lab (Windows, Linux, and network systems)
• Implement foundational security controls across multiple layers
• Perform reconnaissance to understand how attackers identify targets
• Analyze system activity and identify potential threats
• Learn how detection and monitoring work in a SOC environment
• Investigate events and document findings
• Present proof of work demonstrating your layered defense approach
