This month we’re watching Join or Die, a documentary inspired by Robert Putnam’s groundbreaking research on how community shapes our lives.At its core, the film asks a simple but urgent question: what happens when we stop showing up for each other?As traditional spaces for connection—clubs, groups, third places—continue to disappear, so does something essential to our well-being, our democracy, and our sense of belonging. Join or Die explores why joining matters, and how small acts of participation can have a big impact.We’ll watch the film together in the darkroom, then hang, chat, and be in community—no pressure, just a shared experience.Come through, bring a friend, and be part of it.
