AISJ & TAMCC - A Day Without Child Care 2026 - May 11th

The event is intended to gather child care providers, parents, and advocates to lift up the issues impacting child care as an industry.

The Alabama Movement for Child Care (TAMCC™ ), an initiative of the Alabama Institute for Social Justice (AISJ), is hosting A Day Without Child Care on May 11th @ 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM, as part of a national day of solidarity for child care. This event is intended to gather child care providers, parents, and advocates to lift up the issues impacting child care as an industry, and how children, families, and the economy are impacted. There will be signs held by participants and there will be several individuals (including state and local politicians, providers, parents, workers, and advocates) giving brief speeches and/or sharing their stories regarding how this issue impacts them. This event is being hosted by The Alabama Movement for Child Care (TAMCC), a statewide movement and an initiative of Alabama Institute for Social Justice (AISJ).
