Godmothers Grow: Magical Window Stars, With Ashley Moore
A fun-for-all-ages hands-on workshop!
There are few things more satisfying than simple sheets of paper, folded with care, and transformed into objects of beauty.
In this all-ages, hands-on workshop, join Ashley Moore—co-founder of Women’s Heritage, which brings elements of the homestead into everyday life, and author “The Children’s Heritage Sourcebook”—for a morning of making Waldorf-inspired window stars: luminous, geometric forms crafted from translucent paper that glow like stained glass in the light. With just a few folds and a bit of patience, the stars begin to take shape—calming to create and joyful to behold.
This workshop—part of our Godmothers Day celebration—meets you where you are: Children can delight in the magic of simple forms and color, while adults can explore more detailed patterns. The process invites focus and ease—a return to the pleasure of working with one’s hands, of making something beautiful from the most basic of materials.
You’ll leave with something lovely to gift someone who lit your way—or hang in the light as a reminder of the beauty of coming together in community.
This workshop will be hosted in our third-floor loft space, which is only accessible by stairs.
