Rainwater Harvesting 101: Rain Barrel

Learn how to save water with rain barrels

Join us for an engaging workshop on rainwater harvesting! This session will include a short lecture on the benefits of rain barrels and water conservation, followed by a live, hands-on demonstration of how to build one. Participants will learn practical skills to reduce water use and support sustainable landscaping at home.

Please note: this is a demonstration workshop. Participants will not take home a rain barrel.

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

• Understand the basics and benefits of rainwater harvesting
• Learn how a rain barrel system works
• Identify the materials needed to build a rain barrel
• Observe a step-by-step demonstration of rain barrel construction
• Gain practical knowledge to install and maintain a rain barrel at home
