Join us at Barnard Griffin Winery on Thursday, June 18th as we partner with Thiessen Ranch for a Steak masterclass.
Thiessen Ranch traces its roots to 1882, when Gustav Thiessen settled near Walla Walla along the Oregon Trail, beginning a multi-generational legacy in agriculture. Today, Dan and Melissa Thiessen continue that tradition, raising high-quality cattle with a focus on family, heritage, and a blend of ranching and culinary expertise.
In this immersive class featuring premium Thiessen Ranch beef, you will explore the art of sous vide cooking and flavor pairing. This experience blends engaging lecture with guided tastings, while offering a delicious deep dive into precision cooking and elevated steak techniques.
You’ll sample New York steaks prepared using both 2-hour and 6-hour sous vide methods, served with a rich herb demi and toasted baguette. Also featured is London broil, comparing 6-hour and 18-hour sous vide preparations, finished with vibrant chimichurri. Each tasting will be 2oz, for a total of 8oz of steak, and will be thoughtfully paired with wine to complement and elevate the flavors of the beef.
At the end of the class, there will be steak and wine bundles available for purchase to help you celebrate Father's Day weekend or provide an unforgettable summer feast.
Tickets are $75.00 per person and wine club members will get an additional welcome splash of wine.
