Join ED Wales founder and resident DJ Jazzy Be for a magical Full Moon journey in the enchanting bluebell woods of Caswell. Held within the sacred space of the Roundhouse, with the fire burning at its heart, we’ll gather to move, release, and reconnect as the sun begins to set.

This is an invitation to explore dance as medicine—a space to surrender, let go, and come home to your body. Expect a rich soundscape of soul-invigorating, booty-shaking, heart-opening music and everything in between. Come exactly as you are, and allow yourself to move freely, express fully, and embody your true self.

Our Full Moon Dances offer a sacred container to honour the lunar cycle—an opportunity to return to nature’s rhythm and reconnect with your wild, intuitive essence. Dancing under the full moon can be a powerful ritual: to release, to call in, to transform, and to celebrate your aliveness.

🌳 The Setting
We gather in the beautiful Bishopswood, Caswell, surrounded by trees, bluebells, and the grounding embrace of the earth. The dance takes place in the stunning Caswell Roundhouse—an intimate, nature-immersed space where firelight, forest, and music come together.

✨ What is Ecstatic Dance?

Ecstatic Dance is a free-form movement practice that guides dancers through an embodied journey of inner discovery, joy, and freedom. This is a self-led, expansive space with no rules—just a few simple guidelines:

🌀 We dance barefoot, grounding into the earth
🌀 We dance without words, letting the body speak
🌀 We dance without substances—no alcohol or drugs. We dance on the high of our own pure energy
🌀 We dance without technology, staying fully present

🎵 Our DJ will guide us through a beautifully crafted, worldly, and eclectic set—weaving waves of genres and energies to get the body moving and the soul smiling. We begin with a guided somatic warm up to drop into our bodies and the land, before diving into free dance with the elements. The journey gently lands in softness and stillness, closing with slow integration and a final circle.

🎧 DJ Jazzy Be will be gracing the decks with a juicy set—inviting us to move our inner waters, drop in deeply, and reconnect with our untamed, unearthed, and beautifully authentic selves through the transformative power of music and dance.

🔊 Raised on the wild lands of Gower, movement and dance have always been her way of connecting to the land—awakening a deep sense of hiraeth (belonging) within her soul. Since 2022, she has been igniting dance ceremonies across Gower’s beaches, castles, cliffs, and forests, calling in the spirit of community and connection to music and movement.

She has shared her sound at festivals and ecstatic dance communities across Wales and the UK, offering her love for the ultimate human expression—dance. Rooted in Welsh spirit, sensuality, and embodied freedom, her sets are an invitation to come alive.

✨ Expect a journey that is spicy, sensual, bass-rich, and soul-stirring—crafted to awaken your inner dancer and spark curiosity, play, and aliveness. This is where the silly meets the sacred, where we rediscover our own unique dance medicine and return to the ancient pulse of this Celtic land.

If this is your first time and you’re feeling nervous, please know the Ecstatic Dance Wales team creates a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive space. We are all on this journey together, and the dance portal is co-created by everyone’s uniqueness. There is something truly special about strangers coming together to move freely with compassion and without judgment.

4:00pm- Arrive and Check In at Caswell Roundhouse, Bishopwoods
4:10pm-Opening Circle
4.15pm – Warm Up & Ecstatic Dance

5.45pm- Closing Circle & Fireside Chai & Cake Social

*Make sure you give yourself time to park and walk to the roundhouse if you are not familiar with the location, to avoid being late to the gathering*

🎧We use Silent Disco Headphones for an immersive sound journey, while also respecting nature and our sensitivities (we all can adjust our own volume on the headphones)!

📸 We usually have a designated photographer (announced in the Opening Circle) who may take a few short videos and photos to help share the magic of our events.

If you prefer not to be included, please let the photographer or a team member know at the start of the event.
