Art of the Snapshot: Lower East Side/Nolita/Soho Street Photography Walk
"Capturing what I feel with my body is more important than the technicalities of photography." -Daidō Moriyama
Join photographer Luca Eandi for a walk through some of Manhattan's most vivid streets, where you will learn and practice the art of the snapshot.
You'll receive an overview of the snapshot approach to street photography, learn tips and tricks on how to photograph instinctively, and come away with photos that ring true to your unique point of view.
No technical knowledge/equipment required. All levels of expertise welcome. Just bring your enthusiastic self, a camera (digital, film, smartphone, etc.), and wear comfortable shoes.
We'll follow our senses and the light, starting the walk from Straus Square, moving through the Lower East Side, Nolita, and Soho neighborhoods, tentatively ending in Washington Square Park.
Meet under the War Memorial Monument (the big marble cylinder) in Straus Square.
Rain or shine, we walk.
