Workshop Description:

If you've ever wanted to start designing your own 3D printed items, this workshop is where to start. This 90‑minute session is perfect for anyone just starting out or not sure where to begin with 3D modeling. Tinkercad is a free, web-based app that can be used on almost any computer setup and can get you modeling very quickly. Using premade shapes, hole tools, and an easy to understand interface, we'll show you how to create a simple item, export it, and bring it into Bambu Studio for easy printing.

What You'll Learn:

• What is Tinkercad and why to learn it over other programs?
• How to add Shapes to the work area
• Using the hole tool and getting creative
• Grouping and Aligning
• Working around program limitations
• Exporting your files and Import SVGs
• Print setting in Bambu Studio
  

Who Should Attend: This workshop is ideal for all skill levels who have a basic understanding of 3D printing and want to expand their abilities to make their own items and shapes. No prior design experience is required.

What to Bring: A laptop or tablet with a mouse is required for this class. We have limited workstations for students to use, so if you cannot bring a computer, please email us after registering to reserve one.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with the knowledge and confidence to build and print simple items and the tools need to expand your skills.
