Member Exclusive: Springtime Bike Tour

Experience the loveliness of a spring evening at Duke Farms from the seat of a bicycle.

Join us for a relaxing evening bike ride across campus! During this two-hour experience, we will explore Duke Farms in search of signs of spring: returning songbirds, active amphibians, spring ephemeral wildflowers in bloom, and more! As we ride, we will learn about the stewardship efforts that bolster Duke Farms’ habitats as they awaken from their winter slumber. Bikes and helmets will be provided.

All programs begin at the Farm Barn Orientation Center unless otherwise noted.

Registration is required. Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend so your space can be offered to someone else.

Programs at Duke Farms are held rain or shine, but in the event of severe or impeditive weather, classes may be canceled. Notice will be given as early as possible via email and refunds will be issued in the case of cancellations.

Accessibility

This class involves biking on more than 1 mile on paved surfaces, with participants both moving and stopped/standing throughout.

Duke Farms is committed to equitable nature access, and the following accommodations may be available, depending on the program:

• Paved, flat trails
• Instructors with voice amplifiers
• Assistive listening devices (ALDs) for indoor programs
• American Sign Language Interpreters, with ten (10) days’ notice
• KultureCity sensory bags
