Marinda’s canning class last year sold out and a second one did, too. So, this year we’ve scheduled two classes!

In this relaxed and fun class, you’ll learn the basics of jam making and safe canning techniques while we work together using whatever fruits are freshest and most abundant.

Marinda Freeman has been canning fruits and vegetables for over 50 years, turning the best of each season into jars of goodness. Every summer she fills her pantry with jams, chutneys, and preserves—so when the holidays arrive, she has beautiful homemade gifts ready to share. Truly, there’s love in every jar.

Depending on what’s in season, we may make:

• Apricot jam

• Strawberry lemon jam

• Peach jam

This is a hands-on class, limited to 8 participants so all can take part in the full process—from preparing the fruit to stirring the pots and filling the jars.
