Boston Soundwaves: Party on the Charles River

Get ready to return to the Charles River for an annual one-of-a-kind summer evening—where community, music, and nature collide.

Join us on Saturday, June 20th from 5–8PM in Newton for an unforgettable two-part experience:

🥗 5:00–6:00 PM — Riverside Potluck Picnic
We kick things off on land with a laid-back community picnic. Bring a dish, snacks, or drinks to share (or just bring yourself!) and connect with fellow adventurers before we hit the water.

🎶 6:00–8:00 PM — Kayak Silent Disco on the Charles
As the sun begins to set, we launch into the river for a fully immersive silent disco experience. Hop in your kayak, put on your headphones, and tune into multiple live DJ channels—each broadcasting from both land and boats on the water.

Whether you’re drifting with the current or paddling with friends, you’ll be surrounded by music, movement, and golden-hour magic.

• 18+ event — ID required
• All attendees must complete a kayak + headphone waiver prior to arrival
• Arrive early for smooth check-in and maximum water time
• Stay within range of the DJ boats to maintain headphone signal
• All kayaks must return by 8:00 PM sharp
