Overview

Join Sinai Memorial Chapel and JADE for an evening conversation about the emerging role of psychedelics in end-of-life care and grief.

Join Sinai Memorial Chapel and the Jewish Association for Death Education (JADE) for an evening conversation exploring the emerging role of psychedelics in end-of-life care and the grief that follows.

This thoughtful panel will bring together experts in spiritual care, psychotherapy, and end-of-life support to discuss current research, ethical considerations, and the ways psychedelic-assisted therapies may help individuals facing serious illness—as well as those navigating loss—find meaning, comfort, and peace.

As this is an evolving and complex area of study, this program is designed to create an open, respectful space for learning, reflection, and questions.

The conversation will be moderated by Liz Orlin, Executive Director of Sinai Memorial Chapel, and will feature:

  • Rabbi Zac Kamenetz, founder and CEO of Shefa
  • Zoë Francesca Goldblatt, Jewish Death Doula and Psychedelic Doula
  • Alissa Hirshfeld, MA, LMFT, psychotherapist specializing in grief, trauma, and ketamine-assisted therapy
