Overview

Includes dinner, wine, PLUS take-home a bottle wine! Learn to make spicy and delicious Ghost Chili with Kavita & Dave of Fast & Curryous!

This is the class people have been asking for. 🔥

Join Fast & Curryous (Kavita & Dave) at Purple Star Winery for an interactive, hands-on cooking class featuring their famous Ghost Chili recipe—originally created for the Pasco Fiery Foods Festival and now a customer-requested favorite with a serious following.

This is not a mild introduction to spice—this class is designed for those who love bold flavor and real heat.

What You’ll Do

  • Learn how to prepare Fast & Curryous’ signature Ghost Chili step-by-step
  • Cook your own dish during the class
  • Discover how to balance spice with flavor (so it’s hot and delicious)
  • Enjoy your finished meal in a relaxed, social setting paired with a glass of wine (or beer)

Why We’re Pairing This with Riesling (and a Beer Option Too)

Spicy food and drinks can be tricky—but when paired well, it’s one of the most enjoyable flavor experiences.

For this class, we’re pairing the Ghost Chili with Purple Star Winery’s Riesling—and it’s a very intentional choice.

Why It Works

  • Sweetness tames the heat
Riesling often has a touch of natural sweetness, which helps cool the intensity of chili peppers and makes each bite more enjoyable.
  • Acidity refreshes your palate
The bright acidity cuts through the richness of the dish and resets your taste buds between bites.
  • Lower alcohol = less burn
Higher alcohol can amplify spice. Riesling’s typically lower alcohol helps keep the heat balanced instead of overwhelming.
  • Flavor contrast creates balance
Fresh fruit notes (like citrus, peach, and green apple) contrast beautifully with the deep, spicy flavors of the chili—making both the food and wine taste better together.

Not a Wine Drinker?

No problem—beer will be available as an alternative. A cold beer is another great way to handle heat, helping to refresh your palate and complement the bold flavors of the dish.

What You’ll Experience

You’ll taste how your drink actually changes your perception of heat—softening the spice while bringing out more flavor in the dish.

What’s Included

  • Hands-on cooking instruction
  • All ingredients and supplies
  • A glass of Purple Star Riesling or beer during class
