Join us on a guided botanical tour of Hickory Preserve to learn plant identification skills with two renowned North Florida Botanists/Ecologists: Lilly Anderson-Messec and Dr. Andre Clewell.This is a fundraising event in support of Hickory Preserve. To attend, a $50 donation is suggested.Tour starting point and parking instructions in confirmation email.Tour Guides:Lilly Anderson-Messec is a botanist and ecologist who serves as the Director of North Florida Programs for the Florida Native Plant Society, and Project Manager of the TorreyaKeepers Project. She is inspired by sharing her passion and knowledge of Florida’s diverse native plants and ecosystems with anyone who will listen, hoping that increasing public appreciation and familiarity with our flora will aid in improving conservation efforts. " A Gadsden County resident, Dr. Clewell is currently working on a new book describing local vegetation patterns. His passion is to encourage interest in botany in our region.
