Learn the art of Shibori, a Japanese dyeing technique!

Indigo is a natural plant that creates a stunning deep blue color. Join us as we learn about this magical dye and utilize shibori folding techniques to create stunning and useful items.Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique that involves folding, twisting or bunching cloth to create resist patterns. The fabric is bound and dyed in indigo creating striking blue and white contrast designs.What's Included: - 2 hours of guided instruction - Dye vat demonstration - Prep tools and dyeable items - 3 dyeable items: select from our library of dyeables (examples: kitchen towel, tote bag, socks, bandana)Additional dyeable items will be available for purchase at the event.
