Region 8 Head Start Association Conference

The 2026 Region 8 Head Start Association Conference, Anchored in Mission, Inspired for Tomorrow, is in Deadwood, SD, November 3-5, 2026

We are excited to host the 2026 Region 8 Head Start Association Conference in beautiful Deadwood, SD! The conference will begin bright and early on Tuesday, November 3rd. Day two will be a full day of sessions with a social featuring a mentalist show that evening. The conference will conclude after a closing keynote and sponsored luncheon on Thursday, November 5th. A room block is reserved at The Lodge at Deadwood. You can reserve rooms by calling 877-393-5634 and letting them know you are part of the Region 8 Head Start Association block. Reservations will be accepted until the cut-off date on September 17th.

The closest airport is the Rapid City Regional Airport in Rapid City, SD. If you are flying and will need a shuttle to the hotel, The Lodge at Deadwood has a complementary shuttle to and from the airport. You will need to coordinate with the hotel on arranging pick up.
