While DoD is now including in their solicitations a requirement for primes and subcontractors to have obtained the CMMC certification, the civil sector is still following the NIST guidance but will likely soon adopt the CMMC protocols.

Do I need an active GSA schedule to bid on Federal government contracts?

Accepted Answer

Not at this time, but this may likely be requirement in the near future. The plan is to merge all solicitations under the GSA schedule and the publishing of federal opportunities under one system, taking that function out of SAM as we know it today.

Which agencies are being funded the most and are likely to issue more contracts this coming year?

Accepted Answer

This event will feature federal acquisition representatives sharing their insights on the planned budget for contracting. For now, we are betting on DoD being a top contract issuer, followed by the military services, DHS, the US Department of State and the US Department of the Treasury.

Yes. The years you spent as a Federal Employee count when you take a new job with the Federal Government. Your benefits depend on the total years employed by the USA. You may have to tailor your CV to show your skills rather than where you did the work and for whom.
