The Concept: A Hardware Buffet

We are running a different kind of hardware event in Oxford. If you’ve ever bought glass at a typical headshop, you know the guessing game—you look at a piece behind a counter and just have to hope the airflow and water displacement actually work for you. We're bypassing that entirely.

Picture this: You walk into the venue and see tables set up like a buffet, but instead of food, they're loaded with high-grade, heavy borosilicate glass bases, percolators, and mouthpieces. You don't have to fight a crowd to pick your parts, because you already spec’d them out with me when you bought your ticket.

When you arrive, your custom hardware kit is waiting for you at your own bench. From there, I'll walk you through how to assemble it, lock down the seals, test the airflow, and finally, customize and decorate your finished piece. It's basically adult Legos, but you walk away with a highly functional, daily-driver water pipe.

The Workshop Flow

• The Check-In: Find your workbench where your pre-ordered glass components and hardware are staged and ready for inspection.
• Seals & Tolerances: A hands-on look at glass tolerances. We’ll assemble the modular pieces using Prism's proprietary aluminum gaskets. You'll learn how to torque them down for a 100% airtight, stress-tested seal.
• Customization: Once the hardware is locked in and the airflow is verified, we move on to decorating and customizing the exterior so you leave with something completely unique.

The Three Tracks (Ticket Tiers)

Tier 1: Standard Issue (The Plain Piece)

• The Setup: A clean, pre-assembled 14" to 18" workhorse piece. No frills, just thick clear glass.
• The Focus: Pure utility and value-to-cost. This is for the user who wants a durable piece with reliable fluid dynamics that just works, without paying a massive retail markup.
• Includes: One standard pre-assembled clear rig and a technical maintenance spec sheet.

Tier 2: The Curator (The Designer Piece)

• The Setup: Premium, pre-assembled designer glass.
• The Focus: Aesthetic craftsmanship meets structural integrity. We’ve sourced specific limited graphic runs (like Vintage Floral and Desert Dreamin') and high-end collabs (like Jane West x Prism). You get a highly functional piece that also stands out on the shelf.
• Includes: One select designer rig (chosen at checkout) and a technical maintenance spec sheet.

Tier 3: The Engineer (The Full Modular DIY Build)

• The Setup: The complete "hardware buffet" experience. You spec out your exact rig from the base up during checkout. We bring the raw components, and you assemble it live at the event.
• The Focus: Total control over your airflow and modular utility. You select your base (Standard, Straight, or Skull), choose your percolator geometry, and pick your mouthpiece. At the event, you’ll piece it together, verify the mechanics, and stress-test the seals right there on the table.
• Includes: Your custom-spec modular hardware kit waiting at the bench, hands-on assembly guidance, live seal testing, decorating supplies, and a technical maintenance spec sheet.

This isn't just a workbench setup—it's a full hardware marketplace and food experience. We’ll have vendor booths set up around the venue so you can source the exact accessories you need to run with your new rig. Expect to see bowls, ash catchers, quartz, mats, and maintenance gear available for purchase right on site. We're also bringing in food, so you can build your glass, grab something to eat, and check out the local inventory all in one spot.
