This engaging class begins with a warm welcome and introductions before exploring why bees matter and the vital role they play in gardens and pollination. You’ll learn about the different types of bees, including honeybees, native bees, and wasps. Gain insight into life inside the hive, from the queen to the workers and drones. Discover how honey is made, how to create bee-friendly spaces in your own yard, and what to do if you encounter a swarm. Through a demonstration hive, you’ll see bees at work and practice identifying the queen, drones, and workers. The session also includes hands-on experience with beekeeping equipment, followed by a Q&A and practical take-home tips to help you support pollinators with condence.
