Rust Dyeing and Weave Workshop
Join us for a fun Rust Dyeing and Weave Workshop where you’ll create cool, eco-friendly fabric art in person!
Rust Dyeing and Weave Workshop
Led by fiber artist Veronica Buitron, this workshop invites community members to bring used plastic bags and small rusted objects collected from their surroundings. Participants will transform plastic bags into straps and weave them into a communal textile, allowing rust to imprint the fabric as a metaphor for human impact on fragile ecosystems such as the Everglades.
Workshops will include:
Basic weaving techniques and loom mechanics - Rust dyeing experiments on fabric and paper
