Women's Self Defense: Intro to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Curious about BJJ? This women-only intro class covers basics, self-defense, and confidence-building in a beginner-friendly setting.
This women-only class is an introduction to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, designed to help you explore the sport in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. You’ll learn why BJJ is considered one of the most effective forms of self-defense, how the sport works, and fundamental techniques for beginners learning self defense.
The class is led by experienced women who train in BJJ, are passionate about coaching, and are committed to helping you succeed.
No experience is required—this is a true beginner-friendly class. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and to complete your waiver.
BJJ is a grappling sport, so proper attire is important. Wear athletic, form-fitting clothing (such as leggings or leggings with shorts, and a fitted athletic top or rash guard) to help ensure safety during training.
Please secure long hair, and remove all jewelry, including watches. Shoes and socks are not allowed on the mats. Be sure to bring water—and come ready to learn and have fun!
