Meet under the University Parkway Bridge.

Street Parking is available on Linkwood Road, and a little further away on Tudor Arms Avenue between University Parkway and 39th Street. From Tudor Arms Avenue, walk east until you reach Stony Run Trail and then north to the bridge.

Where does the tour end?

This is a one-way tour which ends on the Stony Run Trail at Northern Parkway. Consider shuttling a car to Northern Parkway to avoid walking back to the meeting place.

How long is the tour?

We will cover approximately 1.8 miles over about 2 hours to reach the ending point at Northern Parkway. Then we will walk back to the starting point. Consider leaving a car near Northern to avoid the walk back if desired. Or perhaps sharing an Uber with other participants.

Join Doug Munro, area resident and amateur historian, for a learning walk along the Stony Run Path, which used to be the tracks of the Maryland & Pennsylvania Railroad.

Doug will take us back in time with landmarks, pictures, facts, and stories. Come learn about the great many things that moved north and south along Stony Run for nearly a century via the Ma and Pa.
