San Francisco Youth Ballet Academywas founded in1999to share the joy of classical ballet with children. We provide a disciplined and nurturing environment in which to study. Our curriculum is designed to offer professional ballet training for those who wish to pursue ballet as a career, but more importantly, to offer the beauty of classical ballet to all students and teach them skills that will enrich their daily lives. AtSFYBA, the unique teaching methods and philosophies promote teamwork and encourage individual creativity.The syllabus, which incorporates French and Russian ballet techniques, develops flexibility, coordination, increases memory and promotes physical fitness. <h2>Year-End Student Showcase 2026</h2><h2>Join SFYBA at CAIS theater as the student body presents "Summer Serenade" (music Serenade for Strings/Dvorak) and a condensed version of the exciting classic "Don Quixote."</h2><p>Performing is an invaluable part of a dancer’s training. The stage transforms a dancer into an artist. Students’ dedication to ballet technique in the classroom is combined with their imagination, resulting in a beautiful, exciting, and rewarding experience. Each school year concludes in May with a student performance, during which all students are encouraged to participate. </p>
