Sound for Change – Live Music & Art for a Cause
Join singer-songwriter EEMA for Sound for Change, an intimate, alcohol-free afternoon of live music, art, and community connection.
Date: Saturday, 16 May @ Artful Yoga Gallery. St Kilda
Time: 1:00pm
The event is dedicated to raising awareness and support for family and domestic violence. With a strong focus on healing, community, and storytelling through music and art, the afternoon aligns with Family and Domestic Violence Prevention Month.
Tickets
This is a ticketed event. A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to the Council of Single Mothers and their Children.
What to Expect
- Headline performance by EEMA, including the exclusive premiere of “Misunderstood” music video and a special preview of unreleased tracks from her upcoming EP
- Support acts/ Live performances from Lazarette, Czarina, Safya, Jonny Turner, Shannon Jade and Markoe
- Art exhibition by Mukisa, with works available for purchase
- Guest speakers including Jenny Davidson (CEO of CSMC), Neha Kumar (Founder of AYG), Rene (Q Psychologist)
- Reflection activity with Thao Tran (Founder of Ditox)
- DJ set by DJ Phunkee
- Hosted by Emcee Amy Leong (Mentor & Coach, Lawyer)
Trauma-Informed Support & Wellbeing
- A registered psychologist from Q Psychology will be available during the Q&A panel to respond to questions. Please note that this is not a crisis support service.
- Information and resources from 1800RESPECT will be promoted and available to attendees

The Council of Single Mothers and their Children has supported single mothers and their children for over 50 years, providing free specialist services, advocacy, and assistance for those experiencing domestic violence, housing insecurity, and financial hardship.
Artful Yoga Gallery is a not-for-profit organisation committed to creating accessible, safe spaces for healing, creativity, and self-expression, with a particular focus on supporting neurodivergent communities.
