Family Dance
Designed especially for young children, families, and anyone curious about the magic of contra dance.
Welcome spring and step into the joy of dancing together.
Our Family Dance is designed especially for young children, families, and anyone curious about experiencing the magic of contra dance in a welcoming, multi-generational format. Whether you’re brand new or returning to the dance floor, this event is beginner-friendly, inclusive, and full of movement and laughter.
Gretchen Hanes will guide the dances with clarity and warmth, making it easy for first-timers to jump right in. Live music from Katie McShane on fiddle and guitar accompaniment will keep the energy high and the room moving.
Dancing has long been a way for communities to gather, connect, and celebrate together. In the heart of winter, it’s a reminder that community still exists — that joy is still available — and that music brings us into rhythm with one another.
Bring your kids. Bring your neighbors. Bring a pair of clean shoes and your sense of fun.
Tickets are $25 per family or $12 for an individual.
Note: This event was originally scheduled for March 15, and postponed due to weather. All tickets will be honored, as will refunds due to the rescheduling.
