Overview

Join us for this free community event.

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes a bigger part of everyday life, more tweens and teens are encountering it through schoolwork, social media, wellness apps, and even chatbots they may turn to for advice or emotional support. This engaging community talk will break down what AI is in simple terms and explore how young people may be using it for mental health support, while emphasizing that AI can be a helpful tool, but it cannot replace real human connection or professional care.

Together, we’ll take a balanced look at the benefits and risks, including how AI can support learning and reflection while also missing signs of serious distress, reinforcing negative thinking, or creating too much reliance on technology. Parents and caregivers will leave with practical strategies to help their child set healthy boundaries, use these tools safely, and feel confident having supportive conversations about AI and mental health.
