Malcolm X CollegeChicago, IL
Friday, July 17  •  9 AM - 4 PM
Overview

A hands‑on Generative AI bootcamp for non‑technical college faculty across the Midwest. No coding or technical background required.

Ready to dive into the world of AI?!!!

Designed for non‑technical college faculty, this Generative AI bootcamp explores how Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools can be used to enhance teaching, learning, and curriculum without requiring a technical background.

Artificial intelligence is transforming higher education but many faculty are expected to engage with AI without being technologists. This Generative AI Bootcamp is designed specifically for college faculty across the Midwest who want to understand and use AI in their teaching. No technical or coding background required.

Through guided, hands‑on learning, participants will explore generative AI concepts and AWS tools in an accessible, instructional context, with a focus on real classroom application rather than technical depth.

Why Attend

  • Build confidence using AI tools responsibly with students
  • Connect with faculty peers navigating AI integration in higher education

Who This Is For

  • College and university faculty across all disciplines
  • Educators curious about AI but unsure where to begin
  • Faculty seeking practical, low‑barrier ways to incorporate AI into their courses

  • Identify AWS AI tools relevant to instructional use
  • Describe practical, discipline‑agnostic use cases for AI in the classroom
  • Apply AI thoughtfully to support student learning, creativity, and engagement
  • Recognize key considerations around responsible and ethical AI use in academic settings
