Opening Event: Asia North 2026

The Asian Arts & Culture Center at Towson Universityengages the university and surrounding communities in cross-cultural dialogue through a broad range of artistic and cultural learning experiences related to Asia. Our programs increase understanding of the world's diverse cultures, challenge stereotypes, strengthen cultural competency, and offer unique perspectives on creativity and the human experience. We also offer opportunities for university students to learn practical skills needed for working in non-profit cultural institutions.

Asia North 2026

Asia North 2026 is a monthlong exhibition and festival, May 1–31, across Baltimore’s Station North Arts District, celebrating its evolving identity as Koreatown, arts district, and creative hub.

Opening Event Asia North 2026 Friday, May 1, 5-9 pm SNF Parkway Theatre and Currency StudioCelebrate the kick-off of Asia North 2026. Meet guest curator Dylan Kaleikaumaka Hill and the artists featured in Shoes at the Door. Spend the evening getting energized through the sounds of Korean samulnori and Japanese taiko drums, being entranced by the exquisite art of Odissi dance, grooving to synth pop, and chilling out to indie-pop. Featuring performances from Han Pan Samulnori, Arpita Rakshit Sabud, Hello Fans, Plant Dad, and B’more Taiko. Savor dishes provided by the Baltimore Xiamen Sister City Committee. B’more Taiko performance sponsored by the Baltimore Kawasaki Sister City Committee. Performances curated and hosted by Kandi Wong.
