Hop a ferry and leave your worries behind. Fire Island is the place to chill on a Saturday afternnon and Flynn's is Fire Island most cherished venue. Since 1937, Flynn's has been hosting live music and throwing the best waterfront bashes. So grab your friends and head out to the beach for this free event on the bay. DJ Stan the Man will set the vibe with fun dance music starting at 12noon, followed by Doc Holiday band at 2pm who will bring all the fun party tunes that you know and love. Make a reservation in the dining room or in the marina to watch the sportiest power boats on Long Island pull in for the final card in the 2nd anual Great South Bay Poker Run. All day activities powered by Sailor Jerry Rum, who will be giving away free bucket hats and sailor swag, plus $8 Rum Runners all day! Don't forget to RSVP. Who is Dock Holiday band you ask:Dock Holiday is a 6 peice riotous cover band from Northport, Long Island playing funk, country, rock and soul. Fun you can't deny! You'll know every word and your hips will feel the rythm.See you on the dance floor. FAQsAre there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? 21 and over, no one under 21 will be admitted, tickets purchased for underage guests will not be refunded. Underage guests will be allowed in Flynn's dining room, marina and bathrooms only - not the bar deck or dance floor.What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?Flynn's is located on a barrier beach with no cars. In order to attend this event, you must come by boat. You can ride the public ferry from Bay Shore to Ocean Bay Park (www.fireislandferries.com) or come by private boat to Flynn's marina. Visit www.dockwa.com for marina reservations. We recommend public transporation, take the LIRR or Uber to Bay Shore, and hop on a ferry to Flynn's.Does Flynn's accept Credit Cards? Cash only at the bar, there are ATM's inside the building, Credit Cards are accepted in the restaurant, retail store and marina.What can I bring into the event? NO coolers, NO backpacks, NO alcohol, NO illegal or banned substances.
