A Holding Space for Black Women: Staying Grounded While You Emerge
A grounding and witnessing space for Black women navigating transition, uncertainty, and the in-between season of change.
You're in the Space Between
Q1 was exhausting. You did the work—you named what's true, released what's not yours, honored your own rhythms. But now you're here, in this uncertain place:
No longer who you were. Not yet who you're becoming.
The world is still heavy. Things outside your control are still happening. And everything feels unfinished, in-between, unclear.
You're not stuck. You're not failing. You're emerging.
And it's okay if it's slow. It's okay if it's messy. It's okay if you can't see the next step yet.
What Is Holding Space?
Holding Space is a monthly therapeutic witnessing space for Black women. It's not therapy. It's not a workshop. It's not goal-setting or skill-building.
The healing happens through presence. Through being witnessed. Through naming what's true in the company of other Black women who get it.
The container itself is the medicine. The practice is the presence. Whatever you take from this space—whatever shifts, whatever clarity, whatever relief—that's yours to make of it what you need.
What We'll Tend To Together (April 2026)
In this 90-minute session, we'll explore:
Naming the Space Between
What does it feel like to be in transition? To be unfinished? To not know what's next? We'll name it so it feels less overwhelming.
What's Outside Your Control (That's Threatening to Swallow You)
The world is heavy. Q1 was exhausting. We'll name what's outside your control—and practice holding it at arm's length instead of letting it consume you.
What's Within Your Control (Even If It's Small)
When everything feels chaotic, reclaiming even the smallest piece of agency matters. We'll identify what's actually within your reach—one grounding practice, one boundary, one moment of rest.
How We Hold Each Other in the Space Between
You don't have to navigate the uncertainty alone. We'll explore how community holds us—and how we hold each other—while we emerge together.
What to Expect
- 90 minutes of guided reflection and sharing in a virtual space designed for Black women
- Grounding practices to regulate your nervous system when the world feels overwhelming
- Community agreements that center care, confidentiality, and compassion
- Small group sharing (you're never required to share, but the space is here if you want to)
- A closing ritual to offer yourself tenderness as you navigate the space between
- A resource companion sent after the session with reflection prompts and grounding practices

This Space Is Not:

- Therapy (though it is therapeutic)
- Goal-setting or productivity coaching
- A place where you have to perform strength or resilience
- A space that requires you to have answers
