The Institute for Art and Olfaction is devoted to creative experimentation with a focus on scent. Our goal is to create new points of entry for people interested in the field of olfaction, while accommodating creative ideas in all mediums. The IAO is a 501(c)3 non-profit located in Los Angeles, USA.

The Art and Olfaction Awards return for their 12th year, at the stunning cultural space Gazarte, in Athens, Greece.

In the spirit of celebrating the international community of perfumers we serve, we are thrilled to bring the Art and Olfaction Awards to this historic center of philosophy and art. Join us to celebrate excellence in independent and artisan perfumery, and help us welcome the international cohort of finalists on Gazarte's stunning rooftop stage.Public arrivals: 7:30pm Awards event starts: 8:00pm Awards afer-party: 10:00pmDress code: Cocktail Drinks and light bites will be served.

<h3>ABOUT THE ART AND OLFACTION AWARDS</h3> The Art and Olfaction Awards are designed to raise interest and awareness for independent perfumers, artisan perfumers, and experimental practitioners with scent on an international scale. With the prestigious Golden Pear awards handed out annually at convivial ceremonies in cities around the world, and with multiple-phase blind judging, The Art and Olfaction Awards provide an important marker for excellence in independent, artisan and experimental perfumery.The Art and Olfaction Awards are a non-for-profit endeavor, designed to support the global perfume community. <h3> ATTENDANCE NOTES</h3> In Person The Art and Olfaction Awards are an international affair, celebrating independent, artisan and experimental practitioners in perfumery. Do them the honor and dress your best: we strongly encourage cocktail wear. There will be light food, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at the event, but we recommend grabbing a bite before hand. The awards venue is accessible by stairway, and there is also an elevator available. The after-party will take place right after the awards end, at Gazarte. The Awards ceremony starts promptly at 7:30pm: Please be on time. Live Stream Because we serve the international community, the 11th Awards will be live streamed. More information to come.
