Ever thought about trying improv—but felt a little hesitant?
This 6-week class in downtown Portland is designed to be fun, low-pressure, and beginner-friendly. No experience needed.
Yet, students will also be exposed to authentic, dynamic and vital concepts of improvisation, and find themselves creating captivating, emptionally connected and funny scenes in class.
Tuesdays, 7-9 PM (April 21 – May 26)
Portland, ME
$220 total for all 6 classes
You’ll learn through simple games and short exercises that build:
- confidence
- spontaneity
- communication
- and a sense of play
At the end, there’s an optional, relaxed showcase where you can invite friends and family or just enjoy the experience.
Improvisation leads to increased social skills, personal confidence & happiness.
Your instructor, Adam Groppman, has performed and trained in LA’s comedy scene (Second City, UCB, etc.) and has been running popular improv classes in Portland since 2022.
His focus is creating a supportive, encouraging environment where people can explore, have fun & laugh together.
