2026 National GrowTogether Conference Guided Tours

This inspiring two-day gathering of community gardeners and leaders nationwide will celebrate the power of urban green spaces and community gardening in NYC. These tours are part of the 2026 National GrowTogether Conference and Jane's Walk NYC 2026!

The <a href="https://lungsnyc.org/gardens-list/" title="https://lungsnyc.org/gardens-list/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">East Village</a> is home to a vibrant collection of community gardens, each a unique reflection of its gardeners' creativity and passion. With a longstanding artistic tradition, the neighborhood’s gardens serve as an extension of that rich cultural heritage. This tour offers both out-of-towners and locals from other boroughs a chance to experience the beauty and ingenuity behind these green spaces, showcasing some of the most stunning and distinctive gardens in the city. Join us as we explore iconic community gardens that embody the spirit and pride of the East Village. Wear comfortable shoes. There will be a fair amount of walking! Founded in 2011, <a href="https://lungsnyc.org/" title="https://lungsnyc.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Loisaida United Neighborhood Gardens (LUNGS)</a> is a grassroots organization uniting 52 volunteer-run community gardens across Loisaida, the Lower East Side, and the East Village to promote, protect, and preserve permanent community gardens and public green spaces in New York City. LUNGS supports its diverse member gardens through advocacy, outreach, and programming, including arts events, educational initiatives for youth and seniors, community-supported agriculture, the Summer Youth Employment Program, and neighborhood festivals like the annual Spring Awakening and Harvest Arts Festivals.
