Type Media Center's 2026 Annual Celebration
Type Media Center's Puffin Prize for Creative Citizenship Event. Join us for a cocktail reception from 6-9:00pm in NYC.
Join Type Media Center on Monday, May 18th to honor Hands Off NYC and Unidos-MN with the prestigious Puffin Prize for Creative Citizenship.
About Hands Off NYC
Hands Off NYC brings together a broad coalition to protect against, preempt, and prepare for federal incursion in New York City. We do this through mass mobilization, neighborhood organizing, and building a culture of defiance.
About Unidos-MN Education Fund
Unidos-MN is a grassroots organization that builds power with Minnesota's working families to advance social, racial, and economic justice for all. Born from the strength of the DREAMER movement, we place immigration, education, and climate justice at the heart of our work. As an intersectional and intergenerational organization led by women and multiracial communities, we unite people from all backgrounds to fight for a future where everyone can thrive—no exceptions.
About the Puffin Prize for Creative Citizenship
The Puffin Foundation Ltd. and Type Media Center are the mutual sponsors of an annual $100,000 award given to an individual who has challenged the status quo through courageous, distinctive, and socially responsible work. The prize is intended to encourage the recipients to continue their work, and previous winners have included Colin Kaepernick, Amy Goodman, the Sunrise Movement, and the Parkland students who founded March for Our Lives. Learn more here.
