2026 National GrowTogether Conference Guided Tours

This inspiring two-day gathering of community gardeners and leaders nationwide will celebrate the power of urban green spaces and community gardening in NYC. These tours are part of the 2026 National GrowTogether Conference and Jane's Walk NYC 2026!

Join the <a href="https://www.nycgovparks.org/programs/rangers" title="https://www.nycgovparks.org/programs/rangers" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Urban Park Rangers</a> for a guided bike tour along the gardens of the Bronx River Greenway. Traveling from Shoelace Park to Soundview Park, participants will explore how NYC Parks, the Bronx River Alliance, and local volunteers steward green spaces and help make the greenway more vibrant and resilient. This tour highlights the “how” and “why” behind caring for urban park landscapes, with stops showcasing a range of ecological features and community-led efforts. Participants will gain insight into urban ecology, stewardship practices, and the collective work that supports this vital green corridor—all while enjoying a scenic ride through the Bronx. Proposed stops include green infrastructure in Shoelace Park, the dog run or forested areas of the Bronx River Forest, gardens at Ranaqua (Bronx Parks Headquarters), Bronx River Community Garden, Drew Gardens, Bronx River House, The Foodway at Concrete Plant Park, and the Pollinator Garden in Soundview Park. Since 1979, the Urban Park Rangers have helped New Yorkers and visitors of all ages to discover and explore NYC's natural world through environmental education, outdoor recreation, wildlife management, and active conservation.
