2026 National GrowTogether Conference Guided Tours

This inspiring two-day gathering of community gardeners and leaders nationwide will celebrate the power of urban green spaces and community gardening in NYC. These tours are part of the 2026 National GrowTogether Conference and Jane's Walk NYC 2026!

Visitors will have the opportunity to take a tour of <a href="https://www.nycgovparks.org/opportunities/volunteer/group/frank-white-memorial-garden" title="https://www.nycgovparks.org/opportunities/volunteer/group/frank-white-memorial-garden" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Frank White Memorial Garden</a>, where they will experience how we integrate youth programming into our garden, giving young people the power to take agency over the projects they create. Feeding into our community composting efforts, participants will also be able to see how we couple composting in our growing spaces with processing organic material from start to finish. Since 2003, Frank White Memorial Garden located adjacent to the BroSis headquarters, has been responsible for remodeling the 6,000 sq./ft. community space into a beautiful community garden and Environmental Learning Center that includes a functional urban farm (producing more than 30 varieties of fruits and vegetables), a greenhouse, a group challenge course, an aquaponics system, as well as recreational seating and performance/event areas. All of these features have been co-designed and constructed by BroSis members from the <a href="https://brotherhood-sistersol.org/programs/environmental-program/" title="https://brotherhood-sistersol.org/programs/environmental-program/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Environmental Program</a> and local community residents. The <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/2026-national-growtogether-conference-guided-tours-4829623" title="https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/2026-national-growtogether-conference-guided-tours-4829623" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">National GrowTogether Conference Guided Tours</a> are part of <a href="https://www.mas.org/janes-walk-nyc-2026/" title="https://www.mas.org/janes-walk-nyc-2026/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jane's Walk NYC 2026</a>, an annual festival of free, community-led walking conversations inspired by urbanist, author, and activist Jane Jacobs. <a href="https://www.nycgovparks.org/events/janes-walk-nyc" title="https://www.nycgovparks.org/events/janes-walk-nyc" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jane’s Walk NYC</a>, organized by the <a href="https://www.mas.org/" title="https://www.mas.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Municipal Art Society of New York</a>, is the largest chapter of the festival anywhere in the world.This tour is a part of the <a href="https://nyc.gov/parks/growtogether" title="https://nyc.gov/parks/growtogether" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">2026 National GrowTogether Conference</a>.
