Practise public speaking skills regularly in Ljubljana

Do you get "stage fright" during work presentations? Or maybe you just want to sharpen your leadership skills and meet a community of growth-minded professionals?

This is the place where ouc club comes in. We practise public speaking in a friendly and safe environment.

Public speaking is more than just standing behind a podium. At our meetings, you will:

• Think on your feet with our impromptu speaking sessions.
• Build leadership skills by taking on meeting roles.
• Receive constructive feedback that helps you grow faster.
• Expand your network with local professionals and creatives.

Typical structure of the meeting:

• prepared speeches: our members prepare a speech on any topic in advance

• I2P (Ideas TO Practise): a member conducts a small workshop on various topics

• M2M: a member or a guest pitch his/her idea, product, business... We allow also guest to pitch their ideas, meaning you are welcomed to do so at our club.

• Impromptu speech: you get a question on the spot and you talk about it for 1-2 minutes. This is the most vibrant part of the meeting and a part where also guests can participate.

• Feedback: everyone who was on the stage gets evaluation from different angles

As you can see, there are many occasions where one can be on the stage and practise, practise, practise. One of the key elements in good public appearance is continuous practise and with us you will get many opportunities to do that.

Meeting place

We have hybrid meetings! Physically we are at Socialna akademija, Tržaška cesta 132, Ljubljana; on second floor, then go through the door on the left and go to the end of the hall.

We start at 6:30, but please, join at least 10 minutes earlier so that you can get to know us a bit.

Language

Our meetings are conducted in English, which provides us with an opportunity to practice and improve our language skills. Additionally, we welcome guests from all over the world who can benefit from attending our meetings and interact with a diverse community of speakers
