606 Miles for Justice: Crawford Notch Hiking Challenge
Hike in Crawford Notch on 6/6 to help reach 606 miles in one day and raise $10K for racial justice & outdoor access.
Summits in Solidarity is hosting a second and final hiking challenge in Crawford Notch, NH to wrap up our 2026 Hike-a-Thon, which aims to raise $50,000 for racial justice and outdoor access programs in New England between the Spring Equinox (3/20) and the Summer Solstice (6/21).
On 6/06/26, participants will attempt to collectively hike 606 miles on trails in and around Crawford Notch. Sponsors will be donating dollars per mile for every mile participants log that day up to 606 miles, equating to a potential $8,000 raised. If hikers and supporters throw in additional donations, we will make it to our goal of raising $10,000 in one day.
THE HIKING CHALLENGE
Check in with our volunteers at the Crawford Notch Depot at the covered picnic tables anytime after 8 am to share your itinerary (or, if you're starting early, be sure to stop in after your hike to log your miles with us). Then, hike as many miles as you wish on any nearby trail you want---such as the Mt. Willard Trail, Crawford Path, Webster-Jackson Trail, Ethan Pond Trail, or Zealand Trail. Many will be hiking Mt. Willard, a gentle, three-mile round trip hike with a beautiful view, throughout the day.
Not sure what to do? Hike with local Hoka and Burgeon athlete Philip Carcia. Phil is attempting to summit Mt. Willard as many times as possible from 4 am to 4 pm; show up at the Crawford Notch Depot anytime in the 12-hour window to join him for his next lap(s). Community laps with Phil will happen at 8 am and 2:30 pm.

WE ARE ON INDIGENOUS LAND
Summits in Solidarity is based out of the mountains of the Wobanadenok which is the traditional ancestral homeland of the Abenaki and Wabanaki Peoples past and present. We acknowledge and honor with gratitude the land and waterways and the alnobak (people) who have stewarded the Wobanadenok throughout the generations.
