This intermediate wheel-throwing class is designed for students who are comfortable with the basics and want to refine their technique while exploring more complex forms. Over this 4-week course, we’ll focus on improving consistency, control, and craftsmanship while creating taller forms, lidded vessels, altered shapes, and more intentional designs. Demonstrations will cover advanced throwing techniques, trimming strategies, surface decoration, and glazing approaches to help elevate your finished pieces. This class encourages creative exploration while strengthening foundational wheel skills, making it perfect for potters looking to grow their style and confidence in the studio. Materials and tools are provided, including clay and glaze. Students should have prior experience centering clay and creating basic forms such as cylinders and bowls.
