Throughout the year, we teach poetry in schools, host a month-long festival, and publish poems in books and unexpected places like rooftops, billboards, and fences using a process called Civic Publishing. Our work is an act of love for this city, inviting residents to share their stories and write a new one together. 2026 O, Miami Poetry Festival

With principal funding provided by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the goal of the annual O, Miami Poetry Festival is for every single person in Miami-Dade County to encounter a poem!

Joy is the GOOOOOOOAL!Kick off your afternoon with soccer activities and games for youth of all ages, with options for parents or caretakers to participate too! Activities will be happening throughout the afternoon, so drop in any time.Write a poem for entry to the festivities and receive O, Miami soccer gear!Sneakers only, no cleats. Bring a water bottle and sunscreen. Miami SCORES inspires youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. We achieve this mission through daily after-school and summer programming at Title I Miami-Dade County Public Schools that combines soccer, poetry, and service-learning.
