Driving Lessons: AI for Grant Writing (webinar)

A workshop for artists on a conversation-based method for drafting grant applications with AI as your writing partner.

Building on the fundamentals from Cal's session, this workshop introduces a practical method for drafting grant applications using AI as a writing partner. Instead of staring at a blank page, you start by talking through your project with a friend, then use AI to turn that conversation into grant-ready write-up in your own voice. We'll walk through the process and practice with real application questions.

Participants must complete pre-workshop preparation, including a peer interview and software setup (approximately two hours), as the prerequisite for a productive workshop. Instructions will be sent after registration. Registration by the April 27th deadline is required to allow ample time for the prep work.

Driving Lessons is an ongoing professional development program for artists, which was developed by Wave Pool in collaboration with artists, arts field professionals and educators. Since 2020, Driving Lessons has taken myriad forms: from an online full curriculum class taught over the course of several weeks, to a topic-centric, one-off presentation by experts in their fields.
