The Art Meetup: Community Art Gallery, Networking & Workshops
Before the summer ends and the city cools down, this is your moment to be outside with people who are open, kind, and building their life.
Save the date ☀️ August 1, 2026 • Bushwick, Brooklyn
Spend your Saturday at The Art Meetup where people share sketchbooks in the grass, strangers become friends over crafts, handmade art passes from table to table, and New York feels a little smaller for an afternoon.
This summer hundreds of NYC artists, musicians, makers, freelancers, small businesses, and neighbors are gathering outdoors in Bushwick for an afternoon of art, conversation, music, creativity, and community.
Expect live music in the park, free crafts, open art tables, creative workshops, photography, handmade goods, local vendors, people making art together outdoors, and the kind of atmosphere that makes hours pass without anyone wanting to leave.
All ages are welcome, though this gathering is primarily designed for adults who want to create, meet other creative people, make friends, collaborate, and spend time in a relaxed community setting.
Bring your paintings, prints, jewelry, crochet, photography, poems, crafts, or unfinished ideas. Come showcase your work, meet creative people, relax in the park, or simply spend time around energy that feels open and welcoming.
A lot of people come alone. A lot of people leave with plans to see each other again.
Last time people exchanged Instagrams, shared sketchbooks, traded creative advice, bought artwork from local vendors, made plans to collaborate, and stayed long after they originally planned to leave.
NYC summers move fast. One minute everyone says they want to get outside more and the next minute the season is already ending. This is your reminder to actually do it ☀️
The Art Meetup is self funded and community supported. Donations help cover permits, art supplies, free crafts, equipment, signage, volunteer support, and the many costs involved in creating welcoming spaces where artists, musicians, and neighbors can gather together.
The hardest part is usually remembering to make time for yourself. RSVP now and let the calendar do the rest.
Vendor spots are community based. There is no vendor fee. A suggested $10 donation helps support permits, art supplies, equipment, and future gatherings.
