People actually talk to each other here. It feels less like performing for strangers and more like being part of a creative community. A lot of people come alone and leave with new friends, collaborators, or plans to see each other again.

A ticket or donation is appreciated and helps support the event. Guests are also encouraged to purchase food or drinks from the venue throughout the evening.

No. You can come to listen, support, and experience the space. Being present is part of the energy.

No. This event is rooted in and celebrates Black expression, culture, and community in honor of Juneteenth. All performers are welcome when they come with respect for the purpose and spirit of the gathering.

Donations help pay for venue fees, park sound equipment, art supplies, volunteer support, permits, and other event expenses. The Art Meetup is independently organized and funded, and community support helps keep these gatherings happening month after month.

Yes. This event centers Black expression and welcomes people of all backgrounds who want to celebrate creativity, community, and connection.

Music, poetry, spoken word, storytelling, comedy, and other creative expressions are all welcome. Whether it's your first time on stage or your hundredth, there's space for you here.

Absolutely. Contributions help cover venue costs, supplies, equipment, volunteer support, and the many behind the scenes expenses that make these gatherings possible.
