Join Us for our Spring Open Day!
Come along for a fun-filled, in-person event to celebrate spring. We’ll have tractor-trailer rides, foraging walks, fermenting demonstrations, ‘magic bean’ planting and an introduction to the Exeter Broad Bean Project. We’ll also be serving a wholesome seasonal farm lunch with Shillingford vegetables, alongside pastries from St Sidwell’s Bakehouse.
Tickets: £10 (excluding lunch) Children under 16s go free! + £10 for adult lunch & £6 for kids.

- Tractor-trailer rides around the farm.
- Foraging walk for ingredients to make a Spring tea.
- Paper pot decorating and ‘magic bean’ planting for children.
- Introduction to the Exeter Broad Bean Project with Exeter Seed Bank.
- ‘Hungry gap’ fermentation demonstration with Rose Whitehouse, Shillingford’s in-house fermentation expert and founder of Red Earth Ferments.
- Seasonal farm lunch and pastries from St Sidwell’s Bakehouse.
Extra info
Food & drink will be charged at an extra cost. Pack lunch and picnics allowed. Please come prepared for the British elements and for walking across uneven and potentially muddy terrain (waterproofs and sturdy shoes recommended, though you may also want suncream and a sun hat!).
