The Granville Center for the Arts is a hub of artistic exploration and expression located in the heart of downtown Granville, Ohio. We provide a home for painters, sculptors, makers, writers, poets, performers, and all lovers of the arts. From workshops and artist talks to theatrical performances and printmaking clubs, our diverse range of offerings allows everyone to find their own creative voice. We've curated a space that's bursting with inspiration and possibility. Our community gallery cultivates creativity and imagination, showcasing exceptional rotating exhibits and events. The gallery doubles as an intimate performance venue, and our artist library, gathering space, and creative think tank offer endless opportunities to collaborate, experiment, and explore.

Join our monthly Sashiko Club and discover the art of visible mending—using traditional sashiko stitching to repair, strengthen, and add beautiful visual flair to your clothing.Whether you’re brand new to sewing or have years of stitching under your belt, our welcoming, slow-paced community is here for you. Inspired by the Japanese textile traditions of sashiko and boro, we’ll explore simple, meditative techniques that turn everyday garments into expressive, sustainable wearable art—one thoughtful stitch at a time.Bring shirts jeans, shirts, or any items you'd like to revive—or use our provided materials to practice. We'll have free patch fabric, tools, and thread available. At the heart of our club is a "Learning Together" approach, where creativity flourishes through community connections, and every stitch (even the unexpected ones!) becomes part of the journey.This is a free and fun club open to most ages (sharp needles might be dangerous for the littles).
