REEL TALK: MEN, MENTAL HEALTH, & CONVERSATION
Join us online for REEL TALK: Men, Mental Health & Conversation—real talks, real feels, real support!
REEL TALK: Men, Mental Health & Conversation
Join us for an intentional evening of film, dialogue, and connection in recognition of Men’s Mental Health Month.
This special event begins with a screening of the short film Speak to Me, written and directed by 2023 Hussle Award recipient Kurt Damas, followed by a guided discussion that explores the emotional themes, lived experiences, and mental health conversations reflected in the film.
Led by two licensed therapists — Thaina Banatte, LCSW and Dr. Marcel “Trey” Crooks — the evening will create a safe and meaningful space to unpack topics surrounding men’s emotional wellness, communication, vulnerability, and healing.
Guests will also hear from the director and/or co-director for an inside perspective on the creative vision behind the film, the message being conveyed, and why these conversations matter.
This event is designed to encourage honest dialogue, community reflection, and greater awareness around men’s mental health in a way that is both engaging and impactful.
Come for the film. Stay for the conversation. Leave with connection.
Hot food and refreshments available for purchase.
