Join us to explore the beauty of the Ballona Wetland Ecological Reserve and learn about the area’s plants and wildlife
Join us for a fun nature walk around the Ballona Wetlands!
On this 3 mile walk, we will learn about the native and invasive plants and wildlife of the Ballona Wetlands, alongside experts. You’ll even have the chance to observe nature up close using binoculars.
This family-friendly walk is a great opportunity to connect with one of our city’s most unique urban ecosystems, right in our own backyard!
This event is part of the Culver City Safe Routes to School program.
When: Saturday, May 23, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (please arrive early if possible)
Meet at: Area A - Ballona Wetland Ecological Reserve;1370 Marvin Braude Bike Path, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292
What to Bring: Wear comfortable clothing, including closed toed shoes, hat, water, snacks and sunscreen.
Parking: There is free parking at Area A - Ballona Wetland Ecological Reserve. Take the dirt road along Fiji Way across from Whiskey Red’s restaurant in Marina del Rey.
