Healing the Heart: Nyungnay Purifying Ritual Practice
April 14 and 15

In celebration of Buddha’s Enlightenment Day, Kadampa Centers around the world engage in a very special retreat for healing the heart and awakening our compassionate Buddha nature. Wrapped within the practice of Mahayana Precepts, the Nyungnay Ritual Practice involves fasting and making three sessions of prostrations in conjunction with prayers.

Thousand-Armed (eleven-faced) Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. It is very powerful for purifying negative karma, pacifying strong delusions, receiving blessings, and increasing our love, compassion and bodhichitta.

It is necessary to attend the first session in order to join in other sessions during the day. During this session Gen Khedrub will give a short talk about the retreat. If you haven’t taken Mahayana Precepts before, please click here to learn more about this beautiful practice.
